Dr Elizabeth VAN HORN trained as a doctor at the University of Southampton and completed her postgraduate training in Cambridge and at St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington and spent 3 years as a Clinical Research Fellow at Imperial College. She has been a Consultant Psychiatrist since 1999 and has worked in General Adult and Community Psychiatry, Forensic Psychiatry and Offender Care. Dr Van Horn joined the Gender Identity Clinic in May 2017 and has interests in quality improvement and service development. She is the Transition Lead for the GIC, focusing on the patient journey between the young person’s service – the Gender Development Service- and the adult service.
