Cerys Mabe – Specialist Speech and Language Therapist (Voice and Communication)

Cerys Mabe is a registered Speech & Language Therapist who has been working on voice and communication with trans and gender diverse people since 2020. They graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2015 with a degree in Speech Science, and having completed a literature review of contemporaneous research on voice therapy for trans people. Cerys has also worked with people with clinical voice disorders and voice or communication needs related to stroke, stammering, Parkinson’s, Long Covid, and other reasons. Cerys has delivered lectures on LGBT+ cultural humility for Speech and Language Therapy students, and since 2022 is the chair of the RCSLT National Trans and Gender-Diverse Voice and Communication Clinical Excellence Network.
