The Gender Identity Clinic is moving

Later this year the Gender Identity Clinic (GIC) will move to a new London location, near Finchley Road underground station.

Our new building is larger and has better travel times to major London transport hubs. The quality of your care is our top concern and changes to our location will not affect the clinical service you receive.

We will shortly be sending out a survey to current GIC patients to get your thoughts on the move.

When will the move take place?
The exact date is still to the finalised, but it’s likely to be in early Spring 2020. We will update you via text message, email, and this website when the exact date of the move is confirmed.

How will I know where to go for my next appointment?
All correspondence from the GIC relating to your appointment will include full details of the location of your appointment

Why are you moving?
The service is continuing to grow and the current premises no longer provide the space we need to accommodate our staff and patients.

While we’ve been proud to call Hammersmith our home for many years, we’re also conscious that it can be a long journey for our patients travelling from outside London. Our new site will have shorter journey times into major London transport hubs.

Where are you moving to?
Our new location will be Lief House, Finchley Road, London NW3 5HR.

We will have the ground floor, and the second and third floors of the building.

Our new location is across the road from Finchley Road underground station, and about five minutes walk from Finchley Road & Frognal overground station. Other stations in the vicinity include Swiss Cottage (London Underground) and West Hampstead (London Underground and Thameslink).

How can I have my say about the move?
Current patients will shortly receive a patient survey. You can also contact us via the Patient and advice liason service.
